In alignment with the guidelines issued by the National Accreditation and Assessment Cell (NAAC), Sparsh Himalaya University established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance. Headed by Prof. (Dr.) Anjana Williams.

 

ROLE OF IQAC

Since its inception, the IQAC has been instrumental in guiding the University towards setting up systems and benchmarks that ensure continuous quality enhancement across various parameters. These include teaching and learning, research and development, patents and publishing, campus facilities, infrastructure upgradation and maintenance, community engagement, and healthcare.

 

OBJECTIVES

Quality Culture: Foster a culture of quality in academics, institutional support, and all university operations by establishing benchmarks, systems, and procedures.

Continuous Improvement: Lead the institution on a journey of continuous improvement, aiming for excellence in teaching, research, and related areas.

 

FUNCTIONS

Quality Benchmarks: Develop and apply quality benchmarks.

Academic and Administrative Parameters: Create parameters for various academic and administrative activities.

Learner-Centric Environment: Facilitate the creation of an environment conducive to quality education, encouraging faculty to adopt the necessary knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning.

Feedback Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

Information Dissemination: Share information on various quality parameters with all stakeholders.

Workshops and Seminars: Organize inter and intra-institutional workshops and seminars on quality-related themes and promote quality circles.

Documentation: Document various programs and activities leading to quality improvement.

Coordination: Act as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices.

Database Management: Develop and maintain an institutional database through a Management Information System (MIS) to maintain and enhance institutional quality.

Audits: Conduct periodic Academic and Administrative Audits and ensure follow-up actions.
