School of Journalism & Mass Coomunication, a recent feather in the cap of Sparsh Himalaya University. It is fully functional and supports all the latest academic, research and technological advancements. The students here enjoy a learning environment that builds up not only their academics but gives them a push towards comprehensive learning enabling them to be better leaders of tomorrow.

The Journalism profession has always been a noble service he mankind. One can be highly technical on one side and yet on the other be readily available to serve even in the most life-threatening conditions. As Journalism professional, we pledge to contribute to the field of Journalism as well as academically.

Dr. Pooja Dabas is a dedicated academician and media professional with over 15 years of rich experience spanning teaching, journalism, and broadcasting. She holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout her educational journey, securing top positions and distinctions.

With a strong foundation in both academia and industry has served in reputed institutions. Her teaching expertise covers various domains of Mass Communication, where she is known for blending theoretical knowledge with practical insights.In the media industry, she has worked with leading organizations such as All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan, and prominent print media houses including Rajasthan Patrika, Hindustan Times and Nai Dunia. She is an approved announcer with Akashvani ( AIR ) and has extensive experience in anchoring, reporting, scripting, voice-over and content production showcasing her leadership in media operations.

She is also an accomplished researcher with multiple publications in UGC Care-listed and peer-reviewed journals, focusing on contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence in media, social media behaviour, environmental communication and media ethics. She has contributed significantly to academic literature and has a book titled “Hindi ki Sahityik Patrikaon ki Chunautiya aur Uttarjeevita” to her credit. A bilingual communicator proficient in Hindi and English, she possesses strong skills in writing, editing, and public speaking. She is also an active freelancer and has written numerous articles and feature stories for prominent newspapers, reflecting her strong command over content creation and her engagement with contemporary social issues. She has also created and contributed to various podcasts, further expanding her reach in digital media and audio storytelling. Her passion for education, research, and media innovation continues to inspire students and contribute meaningfully to the academic community.
